CS2 Update: The Armory Pass!
After three weeks of silence and no updates, Counter-Strike 2 has finally dropped a huge update!
We have gotten a new “Pass” (not Operation pass), 100+ new items added and even groundbreaking new concepts (in the world of Counter-Strike).
See how stickers scrape, remove stickers instantly and look at your cute new “gun buddies” (Weapon charms).
All and more will be featured in this article! We go in-depth over the most recent update, tell you all about the new Armory-Pass, how to redeem items, and what skins, stickers and new items it entails.
The Armory-Pass
Like Operation Passes, you can “redeem” your earned Stars and choose what you want to have/what collection you want to “buy” from. You then get one item from the collection.
There are
three collections of gun weapon skins for 4 Stars
one case, the “Gallery Case” for 2 Stars
One “Limited Edition Item”, the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated for 25 Stars
two sticker collections both for 1 star
two weapon charms collections for 3 stars
That is everything you can choose, you will get one random item from the collection of your choosing.
Except for the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated and the Gallery Case, as they only have one outcome for you: The Limited Time Deagle or the Gallery Case itself. The “Heat Treated”-skins are also patterned based and they can come in a “blue-gem” look-alike variant.
You get stars by earning XP (Experience points). This means that you can not buy stars, but you actually have to earn them on valve official servers.
How does the Armory pass work?
The Armory pass solely works on XP! That means you do not have to complete challenges of any sort, you simply have to gain XP to gather “Stars”. And with these Stars, you can buy “rewards”, similar to the last few Operations and their Battle pass. The Armory pass costs 15€ and you can even buy up to 5 of them one a single account!
The Stars you earn get earned simultaneously on every pass that you own.

Here are the two new sticker collections ready to engulf your goofy craft ideas for Counter-Strike 2:
Sticker Collections
Elemental Craft
You can fight with the Elements that are, Lightning, Fire, Explosion, Ice, Rainbow, Toxic and also Blood. Check out all of these cool stickers that just wait to be put onto your guns.
Character Craft
For the more silly or goofy player, the “Character Craft” collection might be the go to. A lot of silly faces, Eyes and accessoirs to make a little person on your gun and make them look silly for fun!
We are excited to see some unique crafts with the new expressions you can give to your skins.
You can now preview the scrape status of stickers, remove stickers instantly and even apply them with a certain scratch percentage instantly to get the best combinations for your skins!
Here is an instance of a scratched sticker easter egg. You can apply stickers scratched now, which will make for some cool and unique overlapping artworks.
Weapon Charms
A brand new addition to the Counter-Strike series is the introduction of the “Weapon charms” (sometimes also called “Gun Buddies”).
You either can get charms that look like Agents skins, weapon skins or some other new “sausages” as charm.
Or you can choose to get some guns or knife skins as your charm to spice up your loadout.
Every charm has a paint seed and can come out slightly different. As it is still very early we are unsure which weapon charms have different/rare variants and seeds, but oddly enough the chicken seems to have „seeds“.
Not every charm will be different, as it seems that most blue rarity charms stay the same, but only time will tell.
Drag and drop Charms to precisely place them on the weapon of your choice. A weapon can have one charm attached at a time
Use a Charm Detachment to detach the Charm from a weapon. The Charm will return to your inventory and can be reused
Redeeming a Charm from the Armory grants three complimentary Charm Detachments. Additional Charm Detachments are available for purchase
The charms can be applied almost everywhere on a gun. It can NOT go where the player’s hands and arms would block it (see picture 2). It dangles happily on the gun. If you get a charm out of the Battle pass, you get three charges to remove it, and it will appear in your inventory again, ready to be reapplied.
Conclusion
A lot of new items have seen the light of day. The Armory Pass can only get you 40 Stars (if you buy only one), and that will get you only 10 pulls at the new collection skins. You can buy more and also get some stickers and weapon charms.
This is probably the first “operation” where there are no “Consumer Grade (Grey)” skins.
We will be sure to cover more of “The Armory update” and showcase all it has to offer.
Our team will be taking a look at the charms in the following weeks if they are more easily accessible.
Be prepared for a few lovely weeks of content and fun.
Thank you for your attention.
