CS2 Premier Season 2 is here!
Counter-Strike teased over on Twitter / X a coming update.
It is quite unusual for Counter-Strike and even Valve to tease upcoming updates and changes.
Counter-Strike 2 will finally see a Season 2 for its premier mode!
What that means, what other changes this update will bring, and everything else mentioned in the teaser we will go over in this article.
End of Premier Season 1
Premier Season 1 for Counter-Strike 2 will end next week, and Premier Season 2 will start.
In the teaser Valve said that every player who has earned a CS Rating during Season One will receive a commemorative “Premier Season One Medal”.
If you inspect the “Premier Season One Medal” in your inventory, you will get a detailed overview of your Season Statistics, including exact Rank points, Kills, Headshots, and more!
Review your Season One highs and lows with graphs of your CSR and playtime, or view your map-specific stats to find areas of improvement for Season Two.
Start of Premier Season 2
In Premier Season 2 there will be a lot of changes. The map pool is slightly adjusted with Train being added and Vertigo going out of the Premier map pool.
Season 2 is supposed to “come to a close after the Austin Major”, and the players who meet the requirements (have a rank in premier and atleast 25 games played in Premier) will be awarded a “Premier Season Two Medal”. The colour will correspond to your highest CS Rating achieved during the season, and the bars will reflect your total wins, with one bar for every 25—up to five bars!
This Medal has thus a lot of variations and differences, which make it look quite unique and cool for everyone wanting to flex their skill by displaying a good rank and lots of wins!
Other changes
+ Train and - Vertigo
The FAMAS has some improvements to its standing and crouching accuracy (along with a price cut).
M4A4 is a bit less expensive, costing 2900 USD now!
The last update is a long-awaited one, as now the M4A1-S and the M4A4 cost exactly the same. Now it isn’t a question about money and the in-game economy anymore, but purely of preference by the player!
Conclusion
We are excited to see how the changes to the new Premier Season will work, and if this update also brings more changes along with it.
It has been a while since we saw a new case, or maybe the “Armory” gets some new items?
Who knows, but we are looking forward to the new changes!
