How to Buy & Sell skins on GamerPay in 2024

During April 2024 we had to renew our trading system, due to some changes enforced by
VALVE. Following recent changes to the Steam API, we've introduced a new P2P trading system here at GamerPay.

In this article, you will learn everything you need to know about how to buy and sell CS2 skins via our new P2P system. If you want to know why we went this route, and all about safety you can read the article about these topics here.

To understand how it works, please read below.

🛍️ Buying skins

Find and select the item(s) that you wish to purchase, and go to checkout.

  1. Select your payment method, and complete the checkout.

  2. Once you have paid, GamerPay will keep your money safe until the trade has been settled.

  3. The seller will be notified directly via GamerPay to send you a Steam trade offer with the item(s) you have purchased.

  4. Once the seller has marked the item(s) as delivered, you will be notified by us via mail and SMS (if enabled). Once you are notified, go to the GamerPay website.

  5. Open the trade offer, and ensure that the seller has sent you the right item(s).

    1. If the item(s) are correct, accept the trade offer on Steam and press "Item(s) received" on GamerPay to finalize the trade.

    2. If there are any issues; the seller sent the wrong item(s), or no item(s) at all, press "Item(s) not received". The trade will be put on hold while our support team investigates.

IMPORTANT: You have 24 hours to mark your item(s) as received or not received after the seller has marked the item(s) as delivered. Failure to react within 24 hours will result in the funds being released to the seller and the trade will be marked as completed.

💰 Selling skins

List your item(s) on the GamerPay marketplace.

  1. We will notify you via GamerPay, mail and SMS (if enabled) when you've made a sale. Once you are notified, go to the GamerPay website.

  2. Open the sale under your Trades and create the trade offer. Make sure you select the correct item(s) and send the trade offer to the buyer.

  3. Make sure to confirm the offer on your Steam mobile app as well.

  4. Once the trade offer has been sent, press "Trade offer has been sent" on GamerPay to notify the buyer.

  5. The buyer will have 24 hours to mark the item(s) as received. Once the item(s) has been marked as received, or 24 hours have passed, the funds will go to your GamerPay balance. If the buyer marks the item(s) as not received, the trade will be put on hold while our support team investigates.

🤷 Disputes

Those who encounter problems and “dispute” will have their trade go into manual review (so remember to dispute if you encounter a problem).

  1. When a dispute takes place GamerPay will hold Buyer’s money until the case is resolved.

  2. Both parties will possibly have to provide evidence that they sent/received the item.
This will often be easy to determine as either or both parties just send a simple video recording of their inventory history.

  3. If we have pinpointed the problem and solved it, there is no need to worry!
