How to change your Crosshair in CS2?
Changing your Crosshair in CS2
In this short guide, we will explain to you how you can change your crosshair in CS2, how to find out what crosshair type suits you, and everything else that you need to know to become a better shot!
The Crosshair is the single most thing you spend your most time looking at, except your beautiful skins, of course.
It is quite detrimental to have a bad crosshair, so it is quite important to have one that suits you well.
What settings does CS2 offer compared to CSGO?
What crosshair type should I use?
What Crosshairs are used by Pro players?
Time to go over the settings, but also a crosshair map so you know what you have to do to feel more confident
in your play and get better aim!
The Crosshair
You can change your crosshair in the settings:
“Settings” ➯ “Game” ➯ “Crosshair”
You can also download a “Crosshair map” on the Counter-Strike 2 Steam Workshop.
If you wonder how that works, check out this article: The CS2 Steam Workshop.
It is pretty self-explanatory of what you have to do:
You can change the “Crosshair Style”, but we suggest “Classic Static”, as then your crosshair does not move around.
The “Friendly Fire Warning” we always have “Off”, so that you can see more and do not have a warning on your screen
when aiming at your Team.
The “Follow Recoil” makes it quite easy for new players to adapt and learn the recoil.
You have to test out for yourself if you like this change, or if it just plain confuses you.
“Follow Recoil” is a setting that is completely new to Counter-Strike, having its debut in Counter-Strike 2.
Some players praise it, some just can not deal with it- it shows you where the next bullet goes.
You do not have to learn the spray pattern, just keep your crosshair that is jumping over your screen on the target.
Customizing the crosshair itself
This is the customization done to the crosshair itself, such as width, length, thickness and everything
else that you could need. It is worth playing around with these settings, to see what you feel most comfortable with.
Center Dot: Add a Dot in the middle of your crosshair.
Length: Adjusts the lengths of the crosshair bars.
Thickness: Adjusts the thickness of the crosshair bars.
Gap: Changes the width of the gap between the bars and the center.
Outline: Change the black outline of the crosshair.
Colour
This is the normal RGB slider, and you can mix the colours to get a combination of Red, Green and Blue.
Red: Slider to make your crosshair more “Red”.
Green: Slider to make your crosshair more “Green”.
Blue: Slider to make your crosshair more “Blue”.
If you think it is a bit too complicated to figure everything out on your own, you can simply download a crosshair map on the Steam Workshop!
